- Bob Jones was a famous fundamentalist leader who believed you should separate yourself from believers who haven’t separated themselves from errant believers.
- Bob Jones once met C.S. Lewis, and is supposed to have said, “That man smokes a pipe, and that man drinks liquor – but I do believe he is a Christian!”
- Fellow professor J.R.R. Tolkien (and Roman Catholic) was a major influence in moving C.S. Lewis toward Christ.
- J.R.R. Tolkien wrote “The Lord of the Rings.”
- Ian McClellan had a prominent role in three films based on “The Lord of the Rings.”
- Ian McClellan is an avowed homosexual and is active in the call for gay rights.
There you have it… from Bob Jones to Rome to gay rights… in just six degrees.
Lol!
Excellent work!
LOL
Problem with that analogy is that neither Lewis or Tolkien had any part in casting McKellen.
That’s the problem with Bible witchhunts based on secondary separation. Their victims don’t have any part in choosing which heretic or sinner decides to admire them or quote from them.
A broken link: it was Bob Jones Jr (not Sr) who met C.S. Lewis.
@Anson: Thanks. I removed the Sr.
